Support Your Local Library

Thank You for Your Support

On Monday, August 15th, at 6 p.m., the Caledonia Library Association hosted a successful fundraiser at the Village Inn attended by approximately 150 people. “Much Ado About Our Library” was the theme for an evening of beautiful and delicious appetizers and desserts, a silent auction, and a raffle for a lottery tree. The Village Inn staff dressed as book characters and authors, such as Huck Finn, Laura Ingalls Wilder, the March Hare, and Edgar Allan Poe.

Lynn's Caledonia Library Run

The Caledonia Library has lost much of its funding due to budget cuts. Lynn Burdick has many fond memories as a child of spending time in the library choosing books - Dr. Seuss, Nancy Drew mysteries, The Hardy Boys - and later having Mrs. Boyd help her research Native Americans and other topics.  We can't lose this valuable resource in our local community so please help her in her efforts to support the Caledonia Library.

Caledonia Public Library Report

The past year has been very eventful for the Caledonia Public Library. After many months of planning a beautiful addition to the library, we were informed that we would be losing a large part of our operating funds for the 2011 year and possibly longer. It became very clear to us that our planned expansion would have to be set aside for the time being.

Caledonia-Mumford residents can get a Monroe County Library card!

Good News from the Mumford Library!

All residents of the Caledonia-Mumford school district are eligible for a
full-privilege Monroe County library card. Bring in proof of residency
and we’ll give you your card!

Home owners, you will receive a notice with your school tax receipt.
Bring that in and you’re all set! Renters, you’re eligible as well since
you are in the school district (and most likely your rent went up due
to the library tax). Bring in something with your physical address

Beyond My Father’s Farm

It’s been over fifty years since I attended Caledonia-Mumford Central School.

With great pleasure it is; to announce the recent publishing of my book, "BEYOND MY FATHER’S FARM," it’s an autobiography, a true story.
